A rare find! This vintage dress was from an early 1970s Zandra Rhodes collection. The airy, faux chiffon red dress features a blue and pink seashell print. Bat wing sleeves and a full skirt add to the dramatic flair of the maxi dress. The elasticized waist is detailed with a decorative bow tie.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Zandra Rhodes is a legendary British fashion designer who's first collection premiered in 1969. She started as a textile designer, and her prints are highly celebrated. This seashell pattern is a wonderful example. Her designs were favorites of Jacqueline Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Helen Mirren, and Freddie Mercury.
